India is a secular country with many religions, castes, cultures etc living together in harmony. In order to protect the interests and ensure the welfare and development of many minority communities, the Indian state and central government have come up with various schemes and initiatives.
The state government of Himachal Pradesh launched the HP Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Kalyan Yojna 2021 for the Muslim community in Himachal Pradesh. Under this scheme, the state government will present a monetary sum for the wedding of Muslim women, social safety pension to widows and disabled citizens and medical remedy to underprivileged Muslim households.
The Himachal Pradesh state government has also taken up the initiative under the HP Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Kalyan Yojna 2021 to provide necessary assistance and facilities for Muslim Graveyards in the state. They have allocated land to the Waqf Board for building new burial grounds for the Muslim community.
Amount Allocation
Under the HP Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Kalyan Yojna 202, the amount is allocated for the following:
- Marriage Grant for Muslim Girls
A sum total of Rs 25,000 is provided as marriage assistance for girls that come from underprivileged Muslim households.
- Social security pension for widow, old and disabled Muslims
A monthly amount of Rs 400 is provided as a pension to old, widows and disabled of the Muslim community.
- Medical treatment for Muslim households
Rs 5000 is allocated by the Himachal Pradesh government to underprivileged Muslim households that need financial assistance for medical treatments.
Eligibility criteria of the scheme
The eligibility criteria for the HP Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Kalyan Yojna are as follows:
- Underprivileged Muslim families
The beneficiaries of this scheme should be belonging to an underprivileged Muslim household of the minority sector in order to enjoy the medical benefits of the scheme.
- The household should not be acquainted with any government occupation
If the beneficiary family is connected or related to any public sector, then the particular individual is not eligible to enjoy the benefits of the HP Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Kalyan Yojna.
- The applicant should be a resident of Himachal Pradesh
- The applicant should belong to the Muslim minority community
- The individual who is applying for a social security pension should be either 70 years or older.
Documents required for the application
The list of documents that are needed for the application under the Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Kalyan Yojna are as follows:
- Certificate of residence
- Certificate of caste
- Voter ID or Aadhar card
- Certificate of income
- Passport size photo of the applicant
- Bank passbook

हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा उन वंचित मुस्लिम परिवारों को 5000 रुपये आवंटित किए जाते हैं जिन्हें चिकित्सा उपचार के लिए वित्तीय सहायता की आवश्यकता होती है।
योजना की पात्रता मानदंड
एचपी मुख्यमंत्री अल्पसंख्याक कल्याण योजना के लिए पात्रता मानदंड इस प्रकार हैं:
- वंचित मुस्लिम परिवार
इस योजना के लाभार्थी योजना के चिकित्सा लाभों का आनंद लेने के लिए अल्पसंख्यक क्षेत्र के एक वंचित मुस्लिम परिवार से संबंधित होना चाहिए।
