What is the Swachh Bharat Mission?

- 50% of all statutory towns with less than 1 lakh population will become Water+ certified
- All statutory towns will be at least 3-star garbage Free Rated as per MoHUA’s Star Rating protocol for Garbage free cities
- Bio-remediation of all legacy dumpsites
Setting tangible goals towards cleanliness
The scheme aims to ideally develop India’s cleanliness scenario. With cleanliness in the picture, it gets easier to attract tourism and also attain a disease-free situation. In the wake of the pandemic, hygiene and cleanliness are necessary.

किस ओर जा रही है योजना?
मिशन की परिणति निम्नलिखित परिणामों की उपलब्धि के माध्यम से होगी:
- सभी वैधानिक शहर ओडीएफ+ प्रमाणित हो जाएंगे
- 1 लाख से कम आबादी वाले सभी वैधानिक शहर ओडीएफ++ प्रमाणित हो जाएंगे
- 1 लाख से कम आबादी वाले सभी वैधानिक कस्बों का 50% जल + प्रमाणित हो जाएगा
- कचरा मुक्त शहरों के लिए एमओएचयूए के स्टार रेटिंग प्रोटोकॉल के अनुसार सभी वैधानिक शहर कम से कम 3-स्टार कचरा मुक्त होंगे।
- सभी विरासती डंपसाइट्स का जैव-उपचार
स्वच्छता की दिशा में ठोस लक्ष्य निर्धारित करना
इस योजना का उद्देश्य भारत के स्वच्छता परिदृश्य को आदर्श रूप से विकसित करना है। चित्र में साफ-सफाई से पर्यटन को आकर्षित करना आसान हो जाता है और रोगमुक्त स्थिति भी प्राप्त हो जाती है। महामारी के मद्देनजर स्वच्छता और स्वच्छता आवश्यक है।
स्वच्छ भारत मिशन आदर्श रूप से सभी शहरों को “कचरा मुक्त” बनाने की कल्पना करता है। यह योजना ठोस कचरे के स्रोत पृथक्करण, 3Rs सिद्धांत का उपयोग, एक गहन और वैज्ञानिक अनुप्रयोग और सभी प्रकार के नगरपालिका कचरे के परिणामी प्रसंस्करण पर भी ध्यान केंद्रित करेगी।
फिलहाल, स्वच्छ भारत मिशन का परिव्यय 2021-22 से 2025-26 तक 1.41 लाख करोड़ रुपये है।
