Objectives
The main goal of the Rashtriya Gokul mission is to improve the native breed of cattle. Apart from that, proper protection and increase in milk production capacity and quality will be enhanced. So that the number of dairy cattle can be increased. Till now 22 Gopal Ratna and 21 Kamdhenu Prizes have been awarded under this scheme.
Financial support
Originally Rs 2025 crore was allocated to run this scheme. By the year 2020, an amount of around Rs 1842.76 crore has been spent. This program is conducted in every state of the country. According to the information received from the media, Rs 1842.76 crore has been spent on running this program from the year 2014 to the year 2020.

The applicant must be a resident of India. To benefit from this plan, the applicant must be at least 18 years old. Only small farmers and ranchers can apply for this plan. The benefit of this plan is not granted. to ranchers or ranchers receiving a state pension.
