On February 1, 2019, the Central Government launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for farmers. Through this program, a grant of ₹6,000 in three equal installments will be provided to the country’s farmers. All farmers who have less than 2 hectares of arable land are eligible to receive the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Under this scheme, the total amount to be granted by the central government will be paid in three installments of Rs.2000 by direct transfer to the beneficiary’s bank account. Under Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 2022 small and marginal farmers worth Rs 12 crore will be admitted. The total cost incurred under this program is Rs 75,000 crore. Through Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, beneficiary farmers of 2.25 crore have already received the first instalment by bank transfer (DBT) on March 31, 2019.
Purpose

Aadhar card

End of holding limit
When Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was established, only the farmers who had 2 hectares or 5 acres of farmland were included in this program. Now the central government has abolished this limit.
