About the Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana 2021
The Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana, as the name suggests, is a new scheme under the 7 Nischay Yojana launched by the state government. The features of the scheme
The following are some of the features of The Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana:
- 50% of the households in rural areas who are above the poverty line will be provided with electricity.
- The households that belong to the BPL category will not be covered under this scheme since they are already being covered by another scheme called Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana.
- Free electricity will be provided to the beneficiary households.
The objective of the scheme

- On the homepage, click on the “Consumer Suvidha activities”
- On the page that opens, click on the “नए विधुत सम्बन्ध हेतु आवेदन करें” link so that one can open the name of DISCOMs as either south Bihar power DISCOM or North Bihar Power DISCOM
- On the next page, enter the mobile number, select the district name and click on “Generate OTP”
- Then, the electricity connection online application form will appear
- The applicant is expected to fill in all the details of the application form, fill it and submit it.
